Users have the option to set up email alerts on Comms App. It has come to our attention that on occasions where emergency work is completed without going through the normal processes of approval, customer's receive an email to confirm that the work has been completed and then receive a separate email to confirm the works has commenced.
On such occasions where work needs to be completed as a matter of urgency without time to follow the normal processes, would it be possible to create an exception rule so customers only receive 1 alert to confirm that emergency work has been completed to avoid confusion?
To clarify, emergency permits can be served without prior approval and upto 2 hrs after works has started. This means that short duration works (pot hole repairs etc.) are often completed (and the stop notice served) before the permit has been approved (granted) by the local authority.
