Is it possible for the spacing to be reduced/text condensed in actual alert emails? Currently, users have to do a good deal of scrolling to read through an alert email whereas if restrictions/closures/events etc could be simply listed, in a similar fashion to the example text below, with possibly a hyperlink to take users to a specific closure on the One Network map feature, that could be of benefit to our users.

Hi, this is a good idea. In the interim you can reduce the spacing by highlighting the text, clicking on the 'Normal (...' button, scrolling to the end and clicking 'Normal (DIV)' . This reduces the space between the lines.
