Certain closures for local events like markets have multiple repeat dates e.g. every Saturday 9am -7pm
Currently we have two options on TM
Create a plan, add a closure on traffic management and set the enforcement date/time as Saturday 9am -7pm
Create a plan, add multiple closures on traffic management all set with independent dates
The problem with these options are
On mapping the closure lines are permanently shown even when the event is not on (because the plan dates span the full duration)
On mapping the plan marker is permanently shown even when the event is not on and again shows the dates for the full duration which may be misinterpreted by the public and sat nav systems that get their data from one.network. The option is also very time consuming
While our regular TTROs don't face this issue markets usually come to us with 30 or so consecutive dates, booking them in is time consuming as to to make sure mapping is accurate for the public our only feasible option is individually plotting each closure (the copy tool unfortunately doesn't speed this process up much either)
We will implement an update to the rules for showing data on the map. The event / road closure must be active at some point in the map time range to display.
