Some local authorities and agencies have taken to adding "placeholder" entries, which refer to road works that should take place during a period of time (e.g. a financial year) but that have not yet been planned in. Because these entries are dated over the whole year, they always show up when searching for "today" or "next two weeks" even though they are not, actually, happening. The result is that users are shown some "real" works and some "phantom" works, which is pointless and counter-productive.
A filter would enable users to exclude entries that are tagged as "placeholders", i.e that have not yet been assigned a true date. This would require local authorities to add the tag as part of their data, and one.network to add the necessary filter.
